Gairy ST Clair (#37, 276 pts at 126lbs) dethroned IBF & IBO super feathereight titlist Cassius Balloyi (#8, 1360 pts) in Kempton Park, South Africa, as he scored a unanimous points win over the South African. Scores were 116-112, 115-113 and 115-114.
"Superman" opens his 2006 account wit 1360 WCup points, and thus becomes second in the 130lbs WCup ranking, although still far behind leader Manny Pacquiao, who has pocketed 3000 WCup points from 2 contests this year.
ST Clair reaches a temporary fifth spot in the 130lbs total ranking with 1636 points. "Pac Man" heads the affairs with a very impressive 4600 total points.

On Sunday, Mexican Rudy Lopez (#80, 70 pts) surprisingly stopped Takashi Koshimoto (#7, 1128 pts) in round 7 in front of the latter's own fans in Fukuoka, Japan, taking the WBC featherweight crown in the process. The win brings Lopez to second spot in the 126lbs WCup ranking, with 1133 points from 2 fights. WBA champion Chris John stays ahead of the rest with 1800 points.
Lopez makes a giant leap forward to rank 6 in the total ranking and now has 1203 points. John leads here as well, with 3200 points.
